Who we are
Little Dream Builders is run by Endeavour Enterprises, Queensland, Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and we are preparing for the Children's Online Privacy Code. Questions, requests and complaints go to support@littledreambuilders.com.
The short version
- Only grown-ups (18+) hold accounts. Children use kid profiles their parent sets up.
- No advertising, no tracking or analytics cookies, no selling or renting of anyone's data.
- To make your characters, books and songs we send what you type and upload to an AI provider overseas (Google). Photos you upload are deleted once the character is finished.
- Our database and your stored pictures and audio are kept in Australia.
- You can see, fix, download on request, or permanently delete your family's information.
What we collect
About the grown-up who holds the account
- Your email address and password (stored only as a one-way scrambled hash we cannot read).
- Two-step sign-in details if you turn them on: an authenticator secret, one-time backup codes (scrambled), and for passkeys only a public key. Fingerprints and face scans never leave your device.
- That you accepted these documents and gave the parent consent, and when.
About the children you add
- A first name or nickname for each kid profile, the picture or theme they choose, and any screen-time limits you set.
- What they do in the app: screens opened, games started and finished, play points, which books they read, and the free game credits they earn. We use this to run the app (for example play points and your limits), never to profile or advertise to them.
What you create
- Characters: their names, ages, descriptions, personalities, and any photo or drawing you use to show what they look like.
- Story and song ideas, including anything you write in the optional “support your child” box. That box may contain sensitive information (for example about feelings, health or family changes). Please only include what you are comfortable with. We use it only to write that story.
- The pictures, words, narration, songs and 3D models made for you.
Technical and account records
- For each signed-in device: an approximate device description (for example “Chrome on Android”), the IP address and sign-in times, so you can see and sign out devices from your Account page.
- A record of credits added and spent, and of important actions (for example a book made or deleted).
- An activity log of which screens each profile (grown-up or kid) opens, which games they start and finish, and when they sign in or out, with the device description. We use it only to fix problems and investigate reports, and delete it after 90 days.
- Messages you send us: help requests, reports and, for testers, feedback with device details.
- When real payments are switched on, the payment provider handles card details. We never see or store full card numbers.
What we do not collect
No location, contacts, microphone recordings, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics. The camera is only used if you choose to take a photo to upload.
Why we use it
- To run your account, keep it secure and let you sign in.
- To make the characters, books, songs and models you ask for, and to check them for safety and quality.
- To run the games and credits, and the limits you set for your children.
- To answer you, investigate reports, fix problems and prevent misuse.
- To meet our legal obligations (for example keeping payment records).
We do not use your family's information for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models. We will only email you about your account, security and service changes unless you choose to receive news from us, and every news email will have an unsubscribe link.
Who helps us, and where your information goes
We use a small number of service providers. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
| Provider | Where | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Gemini API) | United States and other countries where Google operates | Writes the stories, lyrics and character descriptions; draws the pictures; records the narration and songs; and runs the safety and quality checks. Receives what you type, the pictures you upload or draw, and the characters’ portraits. |
| fal.ai | United States | Turns a character’s finished game figure (a picture, never a photo of your child) into a 3D model. |
| Microsoft Azure | Australia (Australia East, with a backup copy in Australia Southeast) | Hosts the app, the database, your stored pictures and audio, the daily backups, and (once switched on) our account emails. |
Sending information overseas. Google and fal.ai process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We use Google's paid service, under which Google says it does not use what we send to improve its products, and keeps it only for a limited time to detect misuse. Overseas laws may not protect information in the same way as Australian law. By creating an account you consent to this, and we take reasonable steps (including choosing providers with strong security and contract terms) to protect it. If we change providers we will update this page.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect a child or anyone else from serious harm, or with a buyer of our business who agrees to keep this promise.
Photos you upload
A photo or drawing used to show what a character looks like is stored privately, sent to Google to draw the character, and then permanently deleted when the character is finished (approved), when you switch that character back to a written description, or when you delete the character forever. An unfinished draft keeps its picture until one of those happens. We ask for your permission before any photo is uploaded.
How long we keep things
- Your account and everything you create: while your account is open.
- Things you delete go to a Deleted shelf so you can change your mind. From there you can delete them forever at any time, which removes the files and records.
- Deleting your whole account removes your characters, books, songs, pictures, audio and kid profiles straight away, and closes the account so nobody can sign in to it.
- We keep encrypted daily backups for 90 days to recover from accidents, so deleted information can remain in a backup until it ages out.
- Records of credits and payments, and a log of important account actions (which records what happened, not your pictures or stories), are kept for at least five years, as tax and consumer laws require.
Keeping it safe
- Everything travels over encrypted connections, and stored files are private, never public links.
- Each family can only ever reach its own files.
- Passwords are hashed; two-step sign-in and passkeys are available to everyone.
- Only a few authorised people can look at a family's content, only to deal with a report or a problem, and those reviews are recorded.
If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.
Children's privacy
- Children cannot create an account, buy anything, or create AI content.
- A parent or guardian gives consent for each child they add, and stays in control of their profile.
- We collect only what the app needs to work, and our settings are private by default.
- There is no chat and no way for families to contact each other, and children's creations are never shown to anyone outside their family.
- A child can ask their grown-up, or us, to see or delete their information. We will always involve the parent.
Decisions made by computer
Some things happen automatically. A safety check reads every request before anything is made and may refuse it if it looks unsuitable for children. Quality checks look at each picture and may automatically redraw it. Your daily free allowances and credit costs are worked out automatically. None of these decisions use information about you beyond the request itself, and if you think one got it wrong, email us and a person will look at it.
Cookies
We only use cookies the app needs to work: to keep you signed in, to finish two-step and passkey sign-in securely, and to remember an admin preview setting. No advertising or analytics cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Your choices and rights
- See or fix your information: most of it is on your Account page. Email us for a copy of anything else, and we will reply within 30 days.
- Delete: delete any character, book or song, or your whole account, from the app. Or email us and we will do it for you.
- Complain: email support@littledreambuilders.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its date when anything changes, and tell you in the app or by email first if the change is significant.
